Governor Training

The Governor development days are being organised by CollegesWales/ColegauCymru in partnership with the Welsh Government. The programme will comprise of:

  • updates on quality assurance and the introduction of the new GDPR legislation in the morning ; and
  • an introduction to the launch and consultation of a new Institutional Review in the afternoon.

The morning session is intended for new and existing governors along with governance officers (but not exclusively) whilst the afternoon session is intended to reach a wider audience and include college principals, senior curriculum managers, as well as the chair of governors and vice chair of governors and representatives from HEFCW, NUS Wales and Estyn.

Welsh Government are keen to engage with the you on development of the process to ensure it adds value to existing assurance functions, and to consult further on the Leadership and Governance element being supported by John Graystone, Rob Humphreys and Sue Pember.

Three training dates and venues are as follows:

Wednesday, 17 January 2018 at Gower College Swansea, Sketty Hall, Sketty Lane, Swansea SA2 8QF
