Mental Health

As Mental Health becomes a rising concern for the Further Education sector, a £175,000 investment to assist FE Institutions to enhance their current mental health and wellbeing services for learners and staff was welcomed.

Further Education Institutions were invited to send applications for up to £11,400 funding for mental health provision from now until the end of July 2019 with an emphasis on collaborative bids.

Following a successful Funding Panel meeting, seven projects have been approved to enhance the current provision. The thirteen Further Education establishments will be involved in these projects as some are collaborative bids. These projects vary in each establishment, but we are confident that the outputs will be beneficial for student wellbeing and mental health. There is a wide range from online toolkits, online courses, physical calm kits, resilience training, staff training courses, wellbeing hubs, modules for students, pocked guides and 24 hour online AI support.
