ColegauCymru Strategy on Sport in FE Colleges

Following an inspirational session on sport led by Professor laura McAllister at ColegauCymru's Annual Conference 2012, ColegauCymru is working on a strategy for sport in FE colleges in Wales.  We are keen to receive comments on this draft. A revised version will be considered by the ColegauCymru Board in spring 2013.

The good practice handbook was prepared by the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, Aberystwyth University, in partnership with Wavehill.  It was launched by ColegauCymru / CollegesWales at the Eisteddfod on 8 August 2012.

This national-level strategy was drawn up by ColegauCymru / CollegesWals with strong leadership from the Board. It was agreed by FE colleges in January 2010.

The Guide illustrates how colleges are developing their work-based learning provision to meet the needs of a wide range of industry. It focuses on improving practices in apprenticeship programmes, drawing on case studies of effective practice in six colleges. Published March 2007
